lemon cake

"You have filled my tea with lumps of sugar, and though I asked most distinctly for bread and butter, you have given me cake. I am known for the gentleness of my disposition, and the extraordinary sweetness of my nature, but I warn you, Miss Cardew, you may go too far."
Oscar Wilde (The Importance of Being Earnest)

  2. Dearest Jasmin,
first, thank you so much for your lovely comments! I've been very surprised finding your thoughts at different places at the Rose.

And: It bothers me I'm late with the stamps and the doilies...I've purchased at auction some nice pieces weeks ago. So, I make a term with me and the German federal Post Office for next monday!

Then: Lemon cake? Never sampled... But I know the movie! Fantastic The King's Speech-actor Colin Firth...did you see Girl With The Pearl Earring, Painter Vermeer?

See you tomorrow with a DREAM at woolfy Nadine?

    x Ariane

Emma, there was a blogger crash yesterday wasn't there? Bit scary, i've lost treasured comments too..... i love lemon cake, but for me chocolate is supreme.

Sara, lemon underarms? really?? I used to comb it through my hair at the beach when I was a teenager to get blonde streaks :))))))
